About me

Hello! This is the mathematics website of Job Daisie Rock. [Here] is my math genealogy. Below are some important bullet points.

You can jump to my Research or Mentorship/Teaching pages. Scroll down for a blurb about my research interests or some useful links. If you want to know how I made this website jump down to About this site.

Daisie is wearing a black and red coat with the hood up, mirror sunglasses, a black shirt, and a skirt of different shades of purple.
Her shoes are also purple. She is leaning on the railing of the bridge.
There is the green underside of a larger bridge at the top of the photo.

A Blurb on my research

I work with continuous versions of historically discrete structures: representation categories, derived categories, and cluster categories. I am interested in how the homological structures of these categories are connected to cluster algebras, Lie algebras, Grassmannians, and persistent homology. In the discrete (and usually finite) world there are many connections among these notions. In the world of the continuum, how many of these connections hold or exist in a similar fashion? What can we learn about the discrete structure that was hidden by all the finiteness and discreteness assumptions?

My FWO project is about infinite-dimensional Grassmannians.

My thesis was Continuous Quivers of Type A, most of which is contained in series of four papers (arXiv link).
